Our philosophy

Casa Lume is a beautifully restored 19th-century stone house, featuring the traditional local slate roof (beole) and rugged stone walls, nestled in the heart of Piode.

The renovation was carried out with great care to preserve the home's most treasured original features: the internal wooden and stone staircase, the vintage stone fireplace in the kitchen, the wooden mouldings and built-in alcove wardrobes, and the warm wooden floors in the bedrooms.

Casa Lume was born as a private holiday home for two families — who, despite living worlds apart (Milan and Shanghai), chose this magical corner of the Alps as their place to meet, reconnect, and create memories together.

Casa Lume is, first and foremost, a HOME — a place of warmth, welcome, and genuine hospitality.

Spread across 3 floors, the house offers generous shared spaces designed for cooking, relaxing, and making the most of every moment together.

Ground Floor — Shared Living Spaces

• A spacious, fully equipped kitchen with induction hob, modern appliances, and everything you need to prepare delicious meals
• A large open-plan living and dining area with a generous dining table and a comfortable sofa with TV — the perfect spot to relax after a day of adventure
• An entrance hallway / cloakroom where you can store shoes, jackets, and outdoor gear upon arrival

Upper Two Floors — Bedrooms & Bathrooms

• 4 double bedrooms (2 per floor): 3 with king-size double beds and 1 with two single beds that can be joined — all provided with sheets, duvets, and pillowcases
• Option to add an extra single bed and/or a baby cot upon request (additional charge applies)
• Each bedroom has its own private en-suite bathroom with WC, washbasin, bidet, shower, shampoo, shower gel, and towels for every guest

Outdoor Spaces

• A fully equipped terrace with table, chairs, and a parasol — ideal for dining al fresco and soaking up the fresh Alpine air
• An external storage room for ski boots, skis, bikes, and bulky outdoor equipment

The house is heated by radiators with remote temperature control, individually adjustable in each room.

High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire house — so you can stay connected, stream your favourite content, or even work remotely whenever you need to.
